Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd on behalf of EPNE are recruiting a Lecturer & Programme Lead - Health at Northumberland College on a temporary basis. The role involves delivering engaging Health lessons to FE students and leading health-related programmes, with 37 hours per week (24 teaching hours, 13 preparation and marking).

You will plan, deliver and assess learning to NCFE Levels 1–3, support learners with progress and employability, and uphold safeguarding and professional standards in healthcare

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification or above in a Health-related subject.
• A Level 5 teaching qualification.
• Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Previous experience teaching within Further Education is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Health and Social Care related lessons to FE students.
• Teach NCFE Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Health programmes.
• Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements.
• Support learners with target setting, progress reviews, and achievement of qualifications.
• Deliver both theoretical and vocational content linked to healthcare settings.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate student records.
• Support learners to develop employability and sector-specific skills.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and professional standards within the classroom.
