A leading apprenticeship training provider is seeking an Observation Assessor to support Health & Social Care learners. This role involves observing assessments, providing feedback, and promoting learner welfare. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £33,000 depending on qualifications, with additional benefits including covered travel costs and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in the Health and Social Care sector at Senior Carer level.
• Must have own transport and business-use car insurance.
• Flexibility to travel long distances and stay overnight.

Responsibilities

• Observe learners in real-life care settings.
• Provide constructive feedback to support learner progression.
• Plan and conduct in-person visits averaging 3 learners per day.
• Ensure assessments meet relevant quality standards.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Visiting workplaces to observe learners in real-life care settings, ensuring they meet apprenticeship standards.
• Providing clear, constructive feedback to support learner progression and achievement.
• Planning and conducting progressive in-person visits (average of 3 learners per day).
• Managing your time effectively to maximise travel efficiency and learning outcomes.
• Ensuring all assessments meet Ofsted, awarding body, and internal quality standards.
• Supporting with other key activities such as mock assessments, professional discussions, and learner reviews.
• Promoting safeguarding and wellbeing at all times, making sure every learner feels supported and safe.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in the Health and Social Care sector (minimum Senior Carer level).

Salary

• Qualified Level 3 – £30,000 basic + bonus opportunity (OTE to £35,760)
• Qualified Level 5 – £33,000 basic + bonus opportunity (OTE to £38,760)
• Trainee Level 3 – £28,000 basic + bonus opportunity (OTE to £33,760)
• Trainee Level 5 – £31,000 basic + bonus opportunity (OTE to £36,760)
