Overview

Seeking an experienced and organised Health & Safety Officer to support a key data migration and document management project within the Health & Safety function. This is an exciting 12-month opportunity to play a vital role in transitioning H&S systems and processes into a new digital platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the data migration project, ensuring accurate transfer of Health & Safety records, documentation, and compliance data into the evotix system.
  • Oversee and maintain document management processes, ensuring all information is current, accurate, and compliant with internal and statutory requirements.
  • Review and update Health & Safety documentation, including risk assessments, policies, procedures, and contractor management files.
  • Support the Head of Health & Safety in maintaining compliance across the Institutes.
  • Liaise with internal departments, project teams, and contractors to ensure Health & Safety documentation and controls are fully integrated into operational activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of evotix workflows and templates to meet organisational needs.
  • Provide advice and administrative support on general H&S matters as required.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within a scientific, facilities, or construction environment.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and management systems.
  • Experience managing or supporting data migration or document management projects.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident using digital systems and software platforms (experience with evotix is desirable).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Understanding of contractor management processes and documentation control.
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential.
  • IOSH Membership – desirable
