Role

The Health & Safety Officer will oversee site and office compliance, ensuring all projects are delivered safely and in line with legislation. You'll work closely with the Environmental Manager to support ongoing growth and project delivery.

A leading Environmental company with rapid growth, doubling turnover over the last three years, delivering essential services to make the UK safer and more sustainable. Projects include contaminated land remediation, environmental surveys, excavations, bund construction, groundworks, and civils works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site visits and audits to ensure compliance with H&S standards
  • Implement and monitor H&S policies across projects including contaminated land, civils, and utilities works
  • Support project teams in risk assessments, method statements, and CDM compliance
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on health, safety, and environmental protocols
  • Investigate incidents and report findings
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities as required
Requirements
  • NEBOSH qualification (required)
  • Experience in Civils, Utilities, or Environmental projects
  • Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practices
  • Ability to travel to UK-wide sites (preferably with a driving license)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
