Job description

Health & Safety Officer – Northampton – office based with site visits. Salary £35,000 – £50,000 depending on experience. Must have full driving licence.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee safe and compliant performance of work.
  • Maintain accurate RAMS and Site H&S Files.
  • Audit work timely and appropriately.
  • Build and maintain workforce relationships.
  • Deliver training via Toolbox Talks or classroom sessions.
  • Review and update H&S policy.
  • Record incident details and keep accurate notes.
  • Explain H&S procedures to customers and clients.
  • Use systems timely and correctly.
  • Report RIDDOR as required.
  • Review company‑wide procedures to ensure safety and welfare.
  • Keep abreast of H&S industry changes.
Qualifications
  • Ideally SMSTS; IOSH or similar.
  • Construction knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Leadership and teamwork.
  • Full driving licence and flexible approach to working.
