Overview

Job title: Health & Health & Safety Officer – Location: Hull. Salary: £35,000 per annum. Hours: Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-12:30 (38.5 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Lead all internal health and safety matters across multiple sites.
• Conduct and review risk assessments, COSHH documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and ensure full RIDDOR compliance.
• Deliver health and safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
• Oversee contractor safety, PPE management, and compliance reporting.
• Promote continuous improvement and best practice in workplace safety.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent).
• At least 6 years' experience in a manufacturing H&S role.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A confident, hands-on approach with a focus on collaboration and problem solving.
