Health & Safety Officer – Hemel Hempstead

We are currently looking for a Health & Safety Officer to join our Team in Hemel Hempstead.

Key Responsibilities

• To further develop our health, safety, quality and compliance procedures and processes.
• To implement and carry out on site Safety audits across South East.
• Provide feedback from site audits and follow up action plans.
• Assist with Toolbox Talks and Training
• Supporting Certification and associated 3rd party audits
• To drive environmental improvements across the company.
• Assist in the writing of Risk assessments, Method statements and Construction Phase Plans
• To work with all sub-contractors and suppliers to make sure they meet our requirements for the business.
• Undertake supply chain audits and provide detailed feedback on areas of improvement
• Ensuring that all accidents, incidents and near miss are investigated, reported and recorded.
• Produce accurate reports in a timely manner as required.
• Arrange and carry out emergency evacuation drills, (fire drills).
• Monitor and correct non-compliance issues across the business.
• Maintain our ISO accreditation.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experienced working in Construction, Building or Facilities Management industry.
• Practical knowledge of working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of current regulations.
• NEBOSH Construction certificate or equivalent.
• Full driving license
