Job summary

A leading Energy Company is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team in Belfast. This hybrid role requires managing health and safety queries, conducting site inductions, and updating HSE documents. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in similar roles and a full clean driving license. This is a great opportunity to work with a reputable organization making a difference in the industry.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar health and safety role.
  • Experience working in an Electrical Generation environment is an advantage.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day H&S queries and requests from the team.
  • Manage raising, follow up and close out of operational restrictions.
  • Manage and update site HSE documents, procedures and risk assessments.
  • Organise training for the team as required.
  • Review and approve contractor RAMS.

Job description

My client is a leading Energy Company in Ireland and due to their ongoing success, they are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team in Belfast.

This role is hybrid with a mix of remote working, office based and occasional site visits. This is a great opportunity to join a large company with a great reputation who are making a difference in Ireland.
Duties:

  • Manage day to day H&S queries and requests from the team
  • Manage raising, follow up and close out of Operational Restrictions, Incident Reports, Safety Bulletins, Good Catches & statutory inspections
  • Manage and record site inductions for the team
  • Manage and update site HSE documents, procedures and risk assessments
  • Manage HSE training matrix and organise training for the team as required
  • Review and approve contractor RAMS – Involvement in projects as required

Requirements:

  • Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle (main office and sites are not accessible by public transport)
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar health and safety role, experience working in an Electrical Generation environment is an advantage
  • Proficient in using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good understanding of HSE regulations
  • Experience in Environmental management and ESG
