Health & Safety Manager – Cut & Carve Projects

Location: City of London

Salary: Circa £75,000 + Travel Expenses

Type: Permanent – Full Time

Start Date: November 2025

A respected principal contractor would like to appoint a Health & Safety Manager for heavy refurbishment projects in London. Your initial appointment would be site based on a £40m refurbishment project in the City.

This project involves managing multiple subcontractors, including scaffolders, steel erectors, logistics providers alongside their own direct works, which include demolition, structural alterations, and concreting.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting site inductions
  • Maintaining the training matrix
  • Managing H&S documentation
  • Carrying out inspections and audits
  • Carrying out LOLER, PUWER and other required statutory & Company checks/inspections
  • Reviewing and helping with the development of RAMS
  • Investigating accidents/incidents
  • Monitoring and ensuring H&S compliance on site
Qualifications & Attributes
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in structural alterations, refurbishment and demolition projects
  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and site compliance
  • Proactive, confident communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to influence and support both site teams and senior management with a collaborative approach.
