Job summary

Hygrove Partners Ltd is recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for a fast-growing construction business based in Wolverhampton. You will own health & safety across social housing and new build sites, ensuring legislation compliance and embedding a strong safety culture as the company grows.

Your role involves developing H&S policies, conducting site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, and advising senior management on compliance and best practices.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards) is essential.
• Proven H&S management experience in residential/social housing or new build construction.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
• CSCS card is essential.
• Own transport is essential.
• Willing to work from Walsall and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

Hygrove Partners are recruiting a Health & Safety Manager on behalf of a leading and fast-growing, modern construction company specialising in social housing and new build domestic developments, based in Wolverhampton.

The Role:

You’ll take ownership of health & safety across social housing and new build residential sites, ensuring compliance with current legislation while embedding a strong safety culture as the business continues to grow.

• Develop, implement and monitor H&S policies and procedures across social housing and new build domestic sites
• Conduct site audits, risk assessments and incident investigations across occupied and void properties, and new build plots
• Advise senior management on compliance and best practice
• Deliver toolbox talks and H&S training to site teams
• Liaise with housing association clients, principal contractors and the HSE as required

What We’re Looking For:

• NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards) essential
• Proven H&S management experience within residential/social housing or new build domestic construction

• Valid CSCS card essential
• Own transport essential
