Job summary

A leading construction group in the UK is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to oversee multiple projects in Birmingham, Surrey, and Kent. The role involves providing safety support, coaching teams on Inclusion and Wellbeing, and managing Health & Safety assurance activities. Candidates should possess a minimum level 5 qualification and experience in civils infrastructure projects. Strong technical knowledge in health risk management and coaching skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide local advice and support necessary to assist managers and staff with safety responsibilities.
  • Facilitate and coach operational teams on Inclusion & Wellbeing engagement tools.
  • Carry out relevant Health & Safety assurance activities to ensure operational effectiveness.

Expanded is a member of the Laing O'Rourke construction group, we are recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager to support multiple projects in Birmingham, Surrey and Kent. The Expanded Group provides total capability in the early construction phases of major projects, providing an end-to-end solution or a bespoke choice of services. Backed by a central technical design and engineering resource, we can deliver the full range of piling, precast concrete, post-tensioning and structures techniques. The Health&Safetyprofessionalwilllead and manage health and safety delivery within Expanded and measureHealth&Safetyperformance against strategicdeliverables.

What will the role look like?
  • Provide local advice andsupportnecessaryto assist managers and staff to fulfil theirsafetyresponsibilitiesto the high standards demanded by the business.
  • Facilitateand coachoperationalteams onInclusion&Wellbeingand the respectiveengagementtools, which will allow the team to engageeffectivelywith the workforce.
  • Carry out relevantHealth&Safetyassuranceactivities, providingconfidenceto the business thatoperationaleffectivenessof all relevant processes are being delivered.
