Overview

A leading food manufacturer are seeking an experience NEBOSH Diploma qualified Health & Safety Manager, where you will lead safety strategies, drive compliance, and foster a culture of responsibility, with a focus on excellence and innovation, this company is dedicated to operational efficiency and the wellbeing of its workforce. As the Health & Safety Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of workplace safety and environmental sustainability.

Salary £50,000 to £65,000 plus Benefits

What You Will Do
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies in line with UK legislation and industry best practices.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring machinery safety, manual handling protocols, and hazardous substance controls are adhered to.
  • Manage accident, incident, and near-miss reporting, conducting timely investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Deliver or coordinate training sessions to enhance employee, contractor, and visitor awareness of health and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and reduce the environmental impact of the site, including waste management and emissions control.
  • Maintain and review emergency response procedures, leading regular drills and ensuring readiness for fire safety and first aid situations.
What You Will Bring
  • Level 6 IOSH or NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) qualification.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
