Job summary

Tata Steel UK is seeking a Health and Safety Manager for the Corby site. You will lead the H&S strategy, oversee the Safety Advisor and site teams, and drive compliance with group standards while maintaining a proactive safety culture.

Reporting to the Works Manager, you will engage with all functions, coordinate audits, and contribute to continuous improvement at Corby. NEBOSH diploma and CMIOSH are preferred; salary range is £42,000–£54,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in safety with experience building safety culture.
• Strong influencing skills and ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
• Experience leading safety teams and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop local Health & Safety teams (direct and indirect).
• Coordinate internal/external incident reporting including RIDDOR.
• Oversee contractor safety management and RAMS/permits reviews.
• Coordinate H&S management system activities across site and TSUK-wide.
• Maintain H&S systems and accreditations and manage corrective actions.
• Represent Corby site at TSUK HSSE level and align with group standards.
• Coordinate regional audits and capture best practices for local use.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and incident response processes.
