Role Overview:

As a Health & Safety Engineer, you will lead the implementation of health and safety practices within the telecom construction sector. Your role will involve developing Quality Management Systems (QMS), conducting remote inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You'll also be responsible for preparing Construction Phase Plans (CPPs) and Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure consistent quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct remote inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, leveraging technology for oversight.
  • Prepare comprehensive Construction Phase Plans (CPPs) for telecom site installations (e.g., civil, rigging, electrical works).
  • Develop detailed Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) to identify potential hazards and outline specific safety measures.
  • Ensure all CPPs and RAMS adhere to current regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and audit health, safety, and security performance, reporting on key metrics to senior management and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with IT and data security policies, provide guidance on best practices, and assist with the implementation of security measures.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and regulations related to health, safety, and data security.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor9s degree in Telecom, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience within construction and telecom.
  • Proven track record of leading projects.
  • Experience in quality management, health and safety compliance, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
