Hours: Full-Time | Office Hours

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health & Safety Coordinator to oversee and enhance health and safety practices across our warehouse operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, promoting a culture of safety, and supporting operational teams across two key sites in Oldham and Wigan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all health and safety matters
  • Deliver training and inductions for new and existing employees
  • Lead and support investigations into accidents and incidents
  • Maintain accurate records, compliance registers, and corrective action logs
  • Conduct scheduled risk assessments, inspections, and audits
  • Coordinate safety initiatives across departments and locations
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and facilities teams
  • Support external audits and accreditation processes (e.g. ISO45001)
  • Manage routine safety systems including PPE stock checks and permit-to-work procedures
  • Standardise documentation and reporting across sites
Candidate Profile
  • NEBOSH certification is essential
  • Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation (LOLER, PUWER, COSHH, Fire Regulations, etc.)
