Job Title: Health & Safety Compliance and Assurance Auditor

Location: Manchester (covering North West, Yorkshire & North East)

Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract - 1 year

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Compliance and Assurance Auditor to travel across multiple sites in Northern England. You will conduct compliance audits, inspections, and reviews across a variety of environments including construction sites, offices, museums, and other operational locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction health and safety and be confident applying this knowledge across diverse site types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal H&S audits and inspections across sites.
  • Document findings and produce professional reports.
  • Advise on emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and maintain relevant safeguards.
  • Support a positive safety culture across all sites.
  • Provide H&S subject matter expertise where required.
  • Travel regularly across the North West, Yorkshire, and North East regions.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent; IOSH membership required.
  • Proven experience in H&S auditing and compliance.
  • Confident communicator across all levels of an organisation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload.
  • Full driving licence and own transport essential.
