Job summary

A leading organisation in the UK is seeking a Health and Wellbeing Manager to drive safety and wellbeing initiatives. This hybrid role involves owning and evolving the health, safety, and wellbeing strategy, while fostering a proactive, people-first culture. The ideal candidate will possess a NEBOSH qualification and have a strong background in health and safety leadership, with a passion for mental health and workplace inclusion. Responsibilities

  • Owning and evolving the health, safety and wellbeing strategy across the business.
  • Embedding a proactive, people-first approach that goes beyond compliance.
  • Leading risk assessments, audits, investigations and emergency readiness.
  • Driving continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and practical action plans.
  • Designing and delivering wellbeing initiatives covering physical, mental and emotional health.
  • Coordinating company-wide campaigns, events and awareness programmes throughout the year.
  • Working closely with People, Workplace, Comms and leadership teams to shape culture.
  • Using data and insights to measure impact and refine wellbeing initiatives.
  • Championing safety and wellbeing as a core part of the employee experience and EVP.

Skills

NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Safety
Solid background in health and safety leadership, ideally with a wellbeing focus
Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practice
Experience building and running wellbeing programmes in a corporate environment
Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions
Passion for mental health, inclusion and creating positive workplace culture
