Responsibilities
- To implement and comply with IMS and best practice
- To ensure the Business is compliant with all IMS and contract specific requirements
- To report on SHE performance to the Executive Management Team and the Board
- To contribute to the formation of SHE strategy and policy
- To manage the reporting and review of all accidents / incidents
- To ensure compliance with future SHE legislation. To anticipate / be aware of future SHE legislation changes and make plans to adapt to new legislation in a controlled / timely manner
- To encourage and support the creation of a functional culture that embraces and supports principles and goals
- To review issues / processes on a regular basis and introduce best practices
- To provide leadership / support across the Business and supply chain
- To lead and co-ordinate interactions with relevant statutory bodies and regulatory agencies e.g. Health and Safety Executive
- To implement Integrated Management System (IMS), policy and procedures and all legal requirements

- Detailed understanding of SHE legislation
- Working knowledge of relevant ISO Standards

Qualifications
- NEBOSH qualification - Minimum
- Chartered SHE professional or equivalent CMIOSH (or demonstrable IPD / CPD equivalent) - desired
- CSCS card (as appropriate)
- Other supporting business and / or engineering qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence
