Job summary

A leading outdoor advertising company in the UK is looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Advisor. The role involves implementing health, safety, and environmental policies, conducting audits, and engaging with clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in a similar role, hold a NEBOSH General Certificate, and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a construction or facilities setting.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification.
  • Experience/knowledge of the ISO management systems.
  • Strong communication skills with experience engaging colleagues at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Implement health, safety and environmental policies and procedures on site.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and accident investigations.
  • Engage with the client and other external stakeholders.

Skills

What you'll be doing...
Business Support
  • Implementing health, safety and environmental policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
  • Engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical health, safety and environmental related enquires.
  • Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
  • Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact
Technical
  • Undertake site audits, inspections, risk assessments and method statements
  • Attend design, client and site meetings to give advice and discuss H&S
  • Have a strong safety presence on projects
  • Provide support, guidance and advise on all H&S matters

The successful Health, Safety and Environment Advisor will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a construction or facilities setting, or a related industry
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification
  • Experience/knowledge of the ISO management systems
  • Strong communication skills with experience engaging colleagues at all levels
