What you'll be doing...
Business Support
- Implementing health, safety and environmental policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
- Engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical health, safety and environmental related enquires.
- Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
- Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact
Technical
- Undertake site audits, inspections, risk assessments and method statements
- Attend design, client and site meetings to give advice and discuss H&S
- Have a strong safety presence on projects
- Provide support, guidance and advise on all H&S matters
A little bit about you...
The successful Health, Safety and Environment Advisor will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a construction or facilities setting, or a related industry
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification
- Experience/knowledge of the ISO management systems
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging colleagues at all levels
