Are you a qualified Health & Safety Practitioner with experience in a wide range of health and safety matters? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

You’ll play a key part in shaping and delivering our health & safety management framework. Your work will help ensure the Council meets its statutory obligations under Health & Safety legislation, while fostering safe and healthy working environments across a wide range of service areas.

You will hold a NEBOSH National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals (or equivalent), supported by a strong and current understanding of Health & Safety legislation. Your experience will span a broad range of health and safety disciplines, ideally gained within a local authority setting. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Office applications and capable of managing and administering Health & Safety software systems. Experience with the Evotix Assure Safety Management system would be an advantage.

This is a permanent, full-time post (37 hours per week).

We offer a supportive and collaborative working environment and hybrid working arrangements to help you balance professional and personal commitments. If shortlisted, we’ll be happy to share more about our flexible working approach and how we support work-life balance while meeting organisational needs.
