Job summary

A construction and repairs contractor is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to ensure the safety of construction teams in Romford. Candidates should have site experience, ideally in construction, and knowledge of cladding and facades is advantageous. The successful applicant will be proactive, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to navigate documentation portals. This permanent position offers a competitive salary between GBP35,000 to GBP40,000 plus a car allowance, making a meaningful impact in the construction industry.

Preferred Requirements
  • A couple of years of site experience, ideally with a background in construction or a related field. Knowledge of cladding and facades will be a huge advantage.
  • Proficient in navigating documentation and accreditation portals, with strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to conduct low‑level site visits and support our current Health & Safety Advisor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with our construction teams
  • Proactive mindset with a drive to identify and address safety concerns, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant health and safety qualifications, such as NEBOSH or IOSH certifications, or a willingness to study for these qualifications
  • Experience in the social housing, EWI, roofing, kitchen, or bathroom sectors
  • A valid driver's license to facilitate site visits and travel as needed
