Job summary

A leading health and safety management company in Southampton is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to oversee compliance on site. You will manage and deliver health and safety procedures, conduct regular inspections, and liaise with various stakeholders. Ideal candidates should possess NEBOSH qualifications and good understanding of ISO 9001. Experience in training and health and safety legislation is required, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and best practices in the industry.

Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 9001 and 14001 is essential.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and health & safety legislation is required.
• NEBOSH qualifications in construction and fire are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver health and safety procedures on site.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Prepare and distribute health and safety alerts.
• Assist in maintaining the H&S internal management system.

Skills

Good working knowledge of ISO 9001

Detailed knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015

Working knowledge of health and safety legislation

Experience of SSIP schemes

Experience of delivering training

IOSH (preferable)

NEBOSH Certificate in Construction

CSCS card

Competent user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Education

NEBOSH Fire Certificate

NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent
