This is a full time, permanent role, Monday – Friday, working hours 8:00- 16:00, with occasional weekends required to work.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • Own site safety, lead all Health & Safety activities, from training and audits to risk assessments, ensuring the site stays safe and compliant every day.
  • Champion a safety-first culture, drive awareness, lead safety meetings, and promote best practices that make safety part of everyone’s mindset.
  • Work closely with site teams, collaborate with managers and colleagues to solve problems, improve processes, and keep safety standards high.
  • Use smart systems to stay on track, manage reports and compliance using tools like Eco Online and WebRisk, making sure everything’s accurate and on time.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) is a must, you’ll need this as a minimum to hit the ground running in a safety-focused role.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role, ideally within a transport or logistics environment, where safety is a top priority.
  • Strong leadership and independence, you’ll be confident making decisions, leading safety initiatives, and working without constant supervision.
  • Hands‑on Health & Safety experience, from risk assessments to compliance checks, you’ll know how to keep a site safe and support teams effectively.
