Job summary

The Clancy Group Limited are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team supporting the Southern Water contract. This on-site role covers Hampshire and West Sussex, partnering with operational teams to promote safe working practices and wellbeing while driving continuous improvement.

You will conduct site inspections, provide practical safety advice, support incident investigations, and contribute to tenders and planning processes.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate is essential.
• Tech IOSH membership (or working towards Graduate IOSH).
• A full UK driving licence is required, with willingness to travel across Hampshire and West Sussex.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations.
• Provide professional Health & Safety advice and support to colleagues at all levels.
• Advise operational teams and support delivery of safety objectives and best practices.
• Support investigations into accidents and incidents, identify root causes and recommend improvements.
• Contribute Health & Safety input into tenders, bids and operational planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve Health, Safety and Wellbeing systems and performance.
• Promote hazard reporting and positive safety behaviours across teams.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and company procedures.

We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team supporting our Southern Water contract. This is an excellent opportunity to use your expertise in a hands-on role, partnering with operational teams to promote safe working practices, support colleague wellbeing and drive continuous improvement across a key water sector contract. This is not a desk-based role. You'll be out on site, building relationships, providing practical advice and helping teams deliver work safely and efficiently. A full UK driving licence is required, and you'll be flexible to travel across Hampshire and West Sussex and flexibility in working hours to support operational requirements.
