A leading firm in the renewable energy sector is seeking a committed and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to support safe working practices across Windfarms, Substations, and Battery Storage projects throughout the North East of England. This role places you at the heart of the green energy transition, ensuring projects are delivered safely, responsibly, and in line with best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures across multiple project sites
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and task‑specific risk assessments
  • Monitor compliance with legislation, standards, and internal safety requirements
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and site‑based safety briefings
  • Provide practical guidance to site teams and work closely with project managers to maintain a strong safety culture
  • Assist in incident investigations and help identify corrective and preventative actions
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Chartered status (CMIOSH or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
  • Strong experience in Health & Safety roles within the renewable energy or heavy infrastructure sectors
  • Solid working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and industry standards
  • Demonstrated experience working on Windfarms, Substations, or Battery Storage projects
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills, with the ability to influence safe behaviours on site
  • Capable of working independently while collaborating effectively across project teams
