A growing construction firm in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor. This role offers progression opportunities to Manager level and has flexibility for hybrid working. Ideal candidates will have experience in construction and CDM, and must be comfortable influencing on site. The salary range is between £40,000 and £50,000, depending on experience.

Job description

A new role has been created for a Health & Safety Advisor with progression opportunities to Manager level as the business continues to grow and expand. They are based in Newcastle upon Tyne, and this role has a lot of flexibility for hybrid working, so a base location nearby or in the Yorkshire region would work well for when you do pop into the office.

The business operates in Construction Retail Fitout nationally and so would suit someone who knows what a Construction Phase Plan looks like, knows how to support Site Managers to keep them and their teams safe on site as well as keep them legally compliant. As well being happy to travel and comfortable in front of clients so everyone feel confident the site is being well run. This role is open to someone finding their feet and perhaps this is their second safety role, or someone ready to hit the ground running. Must have experience within construction and CDM which could be fitout, refurb, build, housing or similar.

Experience and qualifications for the Health & Safety Advisor role:

• Experience within construction and CDM which could be fitout, refurb, build, housing or similar.
• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
• Able to influence on site and make sure it's running safely.
• Conduct audits, inspections and spot areas for improvement.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel (they will book you a train where possible to avoid too much driving).

Salary for this role is £40-50,000 to allowance flexibility for levels of experience
