Job summary

VGC is seeking a Senior SHEQ Adviser to lead a team of SHEQ Advisers and drive health, safety and environmental performance across operations in Leiston, Suffolk.

You will develop and implement SHEQ systems, ensure legislative compliance, and work with senior stakeholders to achieve KPIs while promoting continuous improvement and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' Health & Safety management experience within construction, utilities or nuclear sectors.
• NVQ Level 5 or Level 6 qualification.
• CertIOSH.
• NEBOSH Fire Certificate.
• CSCS Managers & Professionals Test or equivalent industry-recognised qualification.
• Strong understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to influence and challenge constructively at all levels.
• Proven experience balancing operational, commercial and compliance requirements.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of SHEQ, you will lead and support a team of SHEQ Advisers while ensuring the delivery of high standards of health, safety and environmental performance across operations.
