Job summary

4Recruitment Services are sourcing an experienced Health & Safety Advisor for a Coventry-based local authority client. The role is 37 hours per week with hybrid working (1-2 days on-site plus 1 office day for team meetings) and a pay rate of £20.29 per hour, initially for 3 months+.

The successful candidate must be willing to travel between sites across Coventry as required. You will provide professional H&S advice, support risk assessments and investigations, review policies, deliver training,

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety required (essential).
• IOSH Membership (CMIOSH/GradIOSH or working towards Chartered status).
• Experience in health and safety auditing, inspections, investigations and risk assessments.
• Ability to interpret and apply health and safety legislation within complex organisations.
• Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures.
• Delivering health and safety training and guidance to stakeholders.
• CDM Regulations, contractor management and compliance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional health and safety advice across a large Local Authority.

• Collaborate with senior managers, Trade Unions, external agencies and enforcement bodies.
