A governmental defense agency in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Station Safety, Health, Environment and Fire Advisor to provide specialist advice on health and safety, environmental protection, and fire safety. This role involves managing safety reporting systems, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have expertise in health and safety management and strong analytical skills necessary for risk assessment. This position is based on a full-time schedule of 37 hours per week.
The Station Safety, Health, Environment and Fire Advisor (SHEA) is responsible for the provision of specialist advice and guidance to the Station Commander (Stn Cdr) on all aspects of Health and Safety (H&S), Environmental Protection (EP) and Fire (SHEF) at RAF Honington. The SHEA's main role will be supporting the delivery of the RAF Honington Safety and Environmental Management Plan (SEMP) and Fire Safety Management Plans, including support to Air Safety matters, Continuous Improvement, Quality Assurance, Reporting and Food Safety matters, where issues overlap with SHEF arrangements. The SHEA will work closely with the other members of the Station to deliver the SEMP on behalf of the Stn Cdr.
