Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Public Health Protection Unit (PHPU) as a permanent Health Protection Epidemiologist. The post holder will be based within the Public Health Protection Unit, 1st Floor, West House, Gartnavel Royal Hospital Campus.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking to appoint a new permanent member of staff to our Public Health team. The postholder will work as a key member of our interdisciplinary team across a range of subjects. They must have a high degree of applied/field epidemiology knowledge and be able to marry theory and practice. Highly developed analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to deal with a rapidly changing field of knowledge. Excellent communication skills are needed to present data to a wider range of stakeholders.

The Public Health Department operates 7 days per week with this post working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
