About the Role

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Core Health Physics Team as Trainee Health Physics Monitors, supporting EDF’s nuclear fleet across the UK.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the UK’s nuclear power industry, supporting outages, projects, and day-to-day operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of nuclear safety, radiological protection, and compliance.

As part of our team, you’ll gain hands‑on experience in radiation monitoring, contamination control, and supporting the safe delivery of work in nuclear environments. Full training and mentoring will be provided, leading to recognised qualifications and long‑term career opportunities within the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out radiation and contamination monitoring to protect workers and the public.
  • Supporting operational teams during plant outages, maintenance, and project work.
  • Assisting with the implementation of radiological safety controls and procedures.
  • Recording, reporting, and escalating monitoring results in line with safety requirements.
  • Maintaining high standards of safety awareness and personal conduct at all times.
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in nuclear safety.
