Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Health Lecturer to deliver Level 4 Integrated Health modules on a temporary/hourly paid basis. As part of the team, you will deliver stimulating, high‑quality teaching and support students through their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Level 4 Integrated Health modules covering areas such as: Making a Difference, Growing Pains, Psychology, Wellness & Mental Health, and Dissertation support.
  • Plan and prepare lessons, schemes of learning, and assessment materials.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, maintain registers, provide feedback, and support student welfare.
  • Contribute to course administration, internal quality assurance, and curriculum development as required.
  • Provide pastoral and academic support to students, promoting inclusive learning and high standards.
Person Specification
Essential
  • A relevant qualification in health and social care (Level 4 or above) or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in health/social care or related educational settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and support student learning.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills – lesson planning, marking, record keeping.
  • Ability to work flexibly depending on timetables and student needs.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, equal opportunities, inclusive learning and the welfare of potentially vulnerable learners.
Desirable
  • Previous experience teaching at FE level (health/social care) or supporting learners through coursework and dissertation preparation.
  • Experience or willingness to contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance.
