Overview

We are looking for a Band 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Harrogate Satellite Renal Unit. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team that is patient-focused and encourages shared care. The Renal Unit is a busy outpatient area for patients with Kidney Failure. Patients come in for treatment at least three times a week for 4 hours treatment on a dialysis machine. We are looking for people who are caring and compassionate and who have strong communication and observation skills, to deliver excellent patient-focused care in a challenging fast paced environment. Our service is open Monday to Saturday 06:30 to 00:00.

Please note: Interviews for this role will be face to face with no remote option available.

Our successful candidate will demonstrate care and compassion whilst ensuring that patients\' needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • You will assist and support members of the multi-professional team in order to provide a high standard of patient-centred care; performing duties without the need for constant direct supervision.
  • This includes preparation of the dialysis areas and in the disposal of dialysis consumables and waste. Plus stocking up the unit on a daily basis.
  • You will be working in a stimulating and supportive working environment with opportunities for further learning and development.
