We have an opportunity on Priester’s Unit for Health Care Support Worker who is passionate about caring for female of working age suffering from complex mental health issues.

We are keen to promote high quality services to the service users within our inpatient wards and fully embrace the Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust values within our ethos. As such, we are looking for a keen, dependable, caring and compassionate candidate who is committed to high‑quality healthcare provision. Knowledge of working in a PICU environment alongside experience in inpatient mental health settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

You will be expected to assist and support the patients under the guidance of qualified staff in order to promote wellbeing, physical health needs and support through to discharge. You will be supported by the team and manager and encouraged to develop your skills within the care environment. Responsibilities will include direct nursing care, clerical, cleaning and ancillary duties.

Qualifications

You will need to have an NVQ level 3 in health and social care, a diploma in health and social care or relevant experience to apply for this role. The post holder will be a member of a ward team and will provide support and assistance to the professionally qualified staff on the ward/department.

We deliver a 24‑hour/7‑day service and post holders will be required to rotate between day and night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
