Job description

The Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 10-bedded, mixed-sex ward based within Miranda House. The unit has recently undergone significant improvements to enhance the environment, promote patient safety, and increase access to a wide range of therapeutic activities. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in supporting patients who are experiencing acute mental health difficulties. You will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality, person-centred care that supports individuals through crisis and aids their recovery journey. This role involves 12-hour shifts, working across a 24-hour rota, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

A robust support system is in place for all staff, including regular clinical and managerial supervision and weekly access to reflective practice sessions.
