A healthcare provider in Wales seeks a part-time team member for the Outpatients Department. Responsibilities include facilitating clinics, recording patient observations, and basic wound care. Applicants should be friendly, capable of multi-tasking, and flexible with work hours. The position is fixed-term until November 2027, offering a salary of £24,833 per year pro rata.
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the small and friendly team at Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda, with a requirement to work across sites if required. The Outpatients Department facilitates the needs of patients requiring care and treatment for a wide range of conditions. The department can be busy; staff must be able to multi‑skill and work under pressure, and must be fit to stand for periods of time.
The successful candidate must be able to perform the tasks of patient observations and basic wound care. Staff must be friendly and approachable and have the ability to reassure and support patients throughout their journey through the unit – an essential part of the role. Support will be given to learn the various clinics and procedures associated with them.
The department operates over five days, Monday to Friday. Shifts are allocated to clinical need. Applicants must be flexible to the service. This post is fixed term until 26 November 2027 due to funding.
This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn’t need to have skills in Welsh, we’ll consider it an advantage when short‑listing candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above.
