Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, day shift.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Medical Day Unit at the QEUH for a highly motivated Healthcare Support Worker to ensure that high quality, safe, effective, person-centred care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality, safe, effective and person-centred care to patients in the Medical Day Unit at QEUH.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to patient-centred care and continuing professional development, with an understanding of the service and the specific needs of patients (or a commitment to learn and develop these skills).
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to participate in service progression and growth.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Meet pre-employment requirements including PVG scheme membership / Disclosure Scotland checks as part of NHSGGC pre-employment checking for all appointed candidates.
