Job summary

Co Active Limited is seeking warm, enthusiastic Health Care/Support Assistants to join Meadfoot View care home in Torquay. Whether you are an experienced care professional or starting a new career, we would love to hear from you.

You’ll support residents with daily living, helping them maintain independence and participate in community activities in a varied care environment. Training will be provided with in-house development and NVQ options.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends when required.
• Confident communicator at all levels.
• Calm under pressure and in challenging situations.
• Computer literate, with the ability to write clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Help residents build independence, confidence and choice.
• Accompany residents to appointments, activities and outings.
• Provide emotional and practical support tailored to each individual.
• Encourage independence and community engagement, on-site and in the community.
• Maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere and follow home policies.
