Job summary

Coactive Care Ltd. is expanding with a new flagship home in Exeter and is seeking compassionate Health Care/Support Assistants to join the team. You will support residents daily, helping with personal care, activities, and promoting independence within individual care plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality personal and practical care to residents with a range of needs and disabilities
  • Support residents with daily living activities including washing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and mealtimes
  • Promote dignity, independence, choice, and wellbeing at all times
  • Follow individual care plans and risk assessments to deliver safe and effective care
  • Support residents to attend appointments, community groups, and social activities
  • Assist residents with mobility needs, personal equipment, and continence care
  • Provide compassionate support, including for residents receiving end-of-life care
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, including light housekeeping tasks
  • Accurately record care provided and report any concerns, incidents, or changes in residents' wellbeing
  • Follow all company policies including health & safety, infection control, and confidentiality
  • Work as part of a team, attend meetings and training, and carry out duties as directed by management

About the role

Coactive Care is a growing group of high-quality residential care homes, including Georgian House and Meadfoot View. With our brand-new flagship home, Spurfield House, opening soon in Exeter, we are now recruiting compassionate and dedicated Health Care/Support Assistants to join the team at this exciting new service.

As a Health Care/Support Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents to live fulfilling and independent lives. You will assist with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, activities, and helping residents develop their independence in line with their individual care and support plans.

You will also support residents to stay connected with the community by accompanying them to appointments, theatre trips, community groups, discos, and a wide range of social activities. By working closely with your colleagues, you will ensure residents are supported in a way that respects their dignity, promotes choice, and encourages confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities

Training and development

Previous experience in care is welcome but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. We offer excellent pay for experienced staff and provide opportunities for career progression and training for all team members who wish to grow within our organisation.
