Location: South Shields

Contract: Full time, long term

Start: ASAP

Pay: £89 to £110 per day (PAYE)

Are you a Health Care Assistant wanting to move into a school setting? This specialist SEND provision is looking for someone with a caring, steady approach who can support pupils with complex physical and communication needs.

Your responsibilities:
  • Providing personal care, feeding support and mobility assistance
  • Using hoists, specialist equipment and communication tools
  • Supporting pupils through sensory routines and structured activities
  • Building warm, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
  • Supporting in classrooms and sensory spaces
We’d love to hear from you if:
  • You have experience within care, health or social support
  • You’re confident with personal care and physical assistance
  • You’re calm, empathetic and gentle in your approach
  • You’re happy to learn new SEND techniques with support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
