About The Role

We are looking for a committed and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support a young male client with a genetic condition, global developmental delay, cognitive impairment, and who is registered blind (with no hearing impairment). The client engages well with sensory activities, enjoys toys with light and sound, and uses a tablet/iPad for stimulation and leisure.

Support is required both in the home and school settings, depending on the time of year, with shifts available during term time and non-term time.

Key Responsibilities

• Administration of regular and as-required medications
• Tracheostomy care including suctioning and saturation monitoring
• Nebuliser and oxygen therapy
• Enteral feeding and medication administration via gastrostomy
• Farrell bag management
• Full assistance with personal care and hygiene (double incontinence care)
• Safe moving and handling, including use of hoist and repositioning techniques
• A full driving licence with access to your own vehicle is essential.
