Overview

Home Care Worker – Cooking & Housekeeping Support. Location: Southall (UB1). Pay Rate: £13.00 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience). Hours: Monday to Friday, 17.5 hours per week (Weekends off).

Visit times: Morning visit 11:30am - 1:00pm; Evening visit 5:30pm - 7:00pm.

About the Role: We are seeking a female Home Care Worker from India (Hindu) to provide good quality reliable cooking and housekeeping support for an elderly Hindu gentleman living alone in Southall. This is a non-personal care role as the gentleman is able to manage his personal care duties. The focus is on preparing fresh vegetarian meals and maintaining a tidy, comfortable home, ensuring safety and reporting any concerns. The client has a supportive family living nearby who visit regularly.

Responsibilities

• Preparing fresh home-cooked Hindu vegetarian meals such as chapatis, aloo dishes, lady’s fingers, vegetable curries, Indian tea, and English breakfast sometimes.
• General housekeeping, including cleaning dishes, tidying the kitchen and bedroom, wiping surfaces, laundry, and keeping the home safe and pleasant.
• Ensuring the home remains clean, organised, and welcoming.
• Providing friendly companionship and conversation during visits; hence the need for someone from the same culture and religious background.
