About The Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our patients. You will be responsible for carrying out routine health tasks, assisting with care delivery, and supporting patients to maintain their comfort and dignity. You will contribute to your personal development and work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to maintain the high standards of care.

Your Day To Day
  • Routine Health and Wellbeing Tasks: Provide chaperoning for dermatology consultations, assist in minor procedure clinics (following professional assessment), and ensure patients are comfortable during moving and handling.
  • Delivery of Care: Obtain patient consent, respect privacy and dignity, and support patients in promoting their own health. You will be responsible for preparing equipment, assisting with tasks, and communicating any significant changes in patient health to the relevant team members.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and accurate communication with patients, healthcare professionals, and other relevant parties, ensuring compliance with confidentiality policies.
  • Health, Safety, and Quality: Ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff, contribute to maintaining care quality, and adhere to infection control standards.
  • Personal Development: Actively engage in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, taking part in the organisations appraisal process.
Qualifications, Training & Experience
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Training: Full induction programme and ongoing training opportunities will be provided.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare assistant role is desirable but not essential. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care is crucial.
