Health Care Assistant - Cardiology

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join our team on the Silver Heart Unit.

The unit cares for patients who attend for Cardiology Procedures including Coronary Angiogram, Percutaneous Intervention and therapy devices such as Pacemakers and LINQ implants.

Main duties of the job
  • You will be involved in caring for patients throughout their stay on the Silver Heart Unit.
  • This includes assisting with the patients admission, through delegated tasks including Physiological Observations. Blood Glucose Monitoring. Postoperatively supporting the Patient and Registered Nurse to ensure safe and effective recovery.
  • Your role would also be to maintain patient safety and uphold clinical standards on the Unit.
  • As a Health Care Assistant you will assist the health care practitioner to carry out routine health related activities and complete personal care and activities of daily living ensuring patient led focused care.
  • You will record patient information and provide clinical support as required to help ensure the efficient and effective running of the work area, including delegated tasks such as recording physiological observations, recording blood glucose, undertakingECG and venepuncture and cannulation.

Changes to the UK immigration policy introduced on the 9th April 2025, increased the minimum salary threshold for certificates of sponsorship applications for Health and Care Worker Visa from £23,200 (£11.90 per hour) to £25,000 (£12.82 per hour).
