About us

Wirral Hospice St Johns has a 41 year history of supporting the residents of Wirral who have incurable life limiting illness. The organisation continues to grow and develop in response to the needs of our community. Currently support is delivered by multi professional teams working in our Inpatient unit, Outpatient, Wellbeing and Hospice at Home services.

The hospice benefits from being an independent charity allowing flexibility and creativity in the design and delivery of services whilst being firmly integrated with key local NHS providers. Care and support is delivered with integrity and quality.

This post is a Fixed term contract of employment for the duration of your apprenticeship, upon successful completion of your course your contract of employment will become permanent, which is subject to satisfactory completion of your probationary period.

Job responsibilities

Job title: Apprentice HealthCare Assistant x 2 (Inpatient & Hospice @ Home)

Annual Salary: £14,723 - £23,810 per annum (national minimum wage for your age)

Location: Hospice and Wirral Community

Hours: Working 37.5 hours per week over a 7 days a week rota

Contract: Fixed term for the duration of the apprenticeship with permanent role upon successful completion of course.
