A government health service in Launceston is seeking a Health Care Assistant to support mental health services, including patient care and monitoring in a multi-disciplinary environment. The Team:
TheHealth Care Assistant team at theDepartment of Health Tasmaniaplays a vital role in supporting mental health services, particularly within theNorthside unitin Launceston. Here's a short summary of the team and role:
The Role:
Provide orderly services and assistance to Medical, Nursing and Allied Health staff in the general care of patients at the Northside Mental Health Clinic.
Provide intra- and inter-hospital transport of patients.
Provide an immediate response to Code Black if called on the unit.
One permanent full time, shift worker (fully rotational) position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Fixed term casual, shift worker (fully rotational) positions working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible until 24 August 2027.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $67,193 to $72,126 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
