A healthcare provider in Woking seeks a Healthcare Assistant to support the clinical team in delivering patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring health indicators, assisting with clinical procedures, and participating in audits. The ideal candidate should have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and be committed to providing exceptional service to a diverse population. Training will be provided, and experience in a service environment is preferred.
Workingunder the direct supervision of the Practice Nurse Team & GeneralPractitioners and strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines andprotocols, the Healthcare Assistant will assist the practice clinical team inthe provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Thepost-holder will:
Applypractice policies, standards and guidance
Discusswith other members of the team how the policies, standards and guidelines willaffect own work
Participatein audit where appropriate.
Experience of GeneralPractice desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Job Summary:

Processingand management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses
Sterilising,cleansing and maintenance of surgical equipment
Vaccine/coldchain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgicalequipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
Clearingand re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparingand maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patientcare interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minoroperations
Assistingin the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
Undertakingspecific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated andtaught specifically in relation to that individual
Helpingto raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
Assistingwith the collection and collation of data on needs related to health andwell-being
Simpledressing and stitch/clip removal
INRsoftware and capillary testing
24hour BP monitoring
Assistwith coil fittings
Replacingexpired equipment
Training/guidance can be provided for all of the above
