Responsibilities
  • Deliver personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing to clients.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility support.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
  • Monitor and document changes in client behaviour or health status.
  • Support clients with Alzheimer’s care and dementia care by employing effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with heavy lifting when necessary for client transfers or mobility.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including first aid procedures when required.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of assisted living practices and patient care techniques is essential.
  • Familiarity with hospice care principles and nursing home environments is an advantage.
