Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a Health Care Assistant at Eastlands in Sutton-in-Ashfield. You will support adults with complex care needs, enabling them to live their best lives with dignity and compassion.

Qualifications

• Six months' experience in a care setting is required.
• Qualifications are not essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging and engaging people in learning and developing daily living skills and independence.
• Recognising when people are unwell and providing the appropriate support.
• Assisting people with personal care such as washing, showers and dressing.

• Supporting people with health and wellbeing needs.
• Encouraging participation in social activities inside and outside the home.
• Promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect at all times.
• Filling in care records.

Contract type: Full time 12 hour shifts 8am -8pm and 8pm-8am or nights only 8pm-8am
Rate: £13.21 per hour (£13.31 per hour on completion of Exemplar Care Certificate)

About The Role
Our Health Care Assistants support people to live their best lives, whatever that looks like to them.
No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• encouraging and engaging people in learning and developing their daily living skills and independence
• recognising when people are unwell and providing the appropriate support
• supporting people with their personal care such as getting washed, having a shower and getting dressed
• assisting people at meal times
• supporting people with their health and wellbeing needs
• encouraging people to take part in social activities, both inside and outside the home

• filling in care records

We value relevant experience and qualifications, six months experience in a care setting is required but qualifications aren't essential for this role.
