A healthcare provider in Slough is looking for a motivated Health Care Assistant to support patient care in the Discharge Lounge. The role involves working closely with nursing staff to ensure a smooth discharge process for patients. Ideal candidates should have excellent communication skills and be willing to work flexible hours. Experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
We have a unique and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the Discharge Lounge, Wexham Park Hospital.
The Discharge Lounge is a 7 day week Service operating between 7-7. Our aim is to provide a comfortable, safe and efficient environment for our patients transferring from hospital to home.
The Lounge provides support to ward areas, patient flow and to the patients within the lounge until they are discharged safely home.
We are looking for a motivated and self‑driven individual whose priority is to deliver high quality patient care and service throughout the Discharge Process.
The successful post holder will be friendly, enthusiastic and adaptable, and be able to demonstrate flexibility to meet these service demands, as well as having the creativity to develop the service. This is a highly physical role and involves a lot of walking.
As a Health Care Assistant, you will work under direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse or Nursing Associate. You will primarily assist the nursing team with patient care and facilitate the smooth running of the department.
In this front‑facing clinical role you will support your nursing colleagues, act in the best interest of patients and provide excellent customer care to patients, relatives, carers and colleagues.
